The MF7 Primary Channel is a 3600mm 'c' shaped length that connects on top of the MF5 Furring Section to strengthen the metal framework. The standard practice to install the MF7, is to connect it the Furring Section using MF9 Furring to Channel Clips. The MF7 can be installed at either 1200mm or 900mm centers, this would depend on the type of plasterboard you intend to use, as the closer the centers of the metal are, the more weight the metal framework can carry.
