Zentia Mezzanine DL100 Becomes Zentia Mezzguard

Zentia Mezzanine DL100 Rebranded to Mezzguard

Zentia’s Mezzanine DL100 ceiling tiles has been very popular over its lifetime, specifically for use in creating a fire rated ceiling system below mezzanines. In the later half of 2022, Zentia announced the rebranding of this tile to Mezzguard and with this comes a lot of questions.

Why Is It Being Rebranded?

Since Armstrong ceilings was rebranded to Zentia, many product changes have been implemented, including its most major change to date of the Tatra Rebranding. This includes the change to Zentia Mezzanine DL100 as of the 1st December 2022.

The reason for this name change is simple. Due to legalities in the buy out of Armstrong Ceilings, Zentia lost the rights to certain brand names and as a result, have had to rebrand some of its range.

Will This Change It’s Performance & Testing?

In Zentia's announcement of the Mezzanine DL100’s new name, they state that the tile has a ‘New name > No change’. The tile will remain the exact same as before and is just simply being sold under a new name. Mixing Zentia Mezzanine DL100 with Zentia Mezzguard will have no difference.

Will The Tile Look Different?

As noted above, the tiles will remain the exact same, this includes the look, thickness, and sizes of the tile. Putting the old and new tile type next to one another, will show no difference visually.

Is The Tiles Cost Impacted?

Since the rebrand on 1st December 2022, there was a 10% increase that was applied to the tile on the same day. Whether this was due to the new name, we are not sure, but we have also received notification of a further 9% increase effective from 1st March 2023.

These price hikes could just be based on cost changes in the market and not be a direct result of the rebranding.
